A new shape, not just a date
RHB Drops Its 7 & 9-Month FD Promo for a New 3.90% 12-Month Rate
RHB's Fixed Deposit campaign has a new shape. The 7 and 9-month tenures that ran since July are gone, replaced on 27 October by a single 12-month placement at 3.90% p.a. — with a lower minimum, too. The new campaign runs to 30 November 2026.
One tenure, not two
- Only a 12-month placement now — the old campaign's 7 and 9-month tenures are gone.
- The minimum fell to RM1,000 from RM5,000, open to much smaller savers than before.
- Online e-FD joins late — branches get the new rate from 27 October, e-FD only from 2 November.
MBSB bought itself more time too
- MBSB extended two campaigns the same week — Term Deposit-i and Term Investment Account-i now both run to 30 November.
- Same rates, just more time — MBSB's 4.00% six-month headline hasn't changed, only the deadline has.

- Your maturity dateAny of these placements renews at the bank's board rate, not the promo one.
