Which e-wallet or digital bank has the highest rate now?+

As of June 2026, KDI Save pays a fixed 4.00% EAR with no spending conditions. Ryt Bank and GXBank reach up to 4.00% with promo conditions, and Touch 'n Go GO+ pays about 3.0–3.4% daily. All rates are indicative and change often.

Is my money safe — and is Touch 'n Go GO+ PIDM-protected?+

Licensed digital banks (GXBank, Ryt Bank, Boost Bank, AEON Bank) are PIDM-insured up to RM250,000, so the interest is guaranteed. GO+, KDI Save, StashAway Simple and Versa Cash are money-market funds — low risk, but returns vary and are not guaranteed or PIDM-insured. So GO+ is not PIDM-protected.

Digital bank vs money-market fund — what's the difference?+

A digital-bank deposit is guaranteed and PIDM-insured. A money-market fund invests in short-term instruments, so returns are usually a touch higher but not guaranteed. Both are low risk and let you withdraw anytime.

Do I need to meet conditions to earn the headline rate?+

Often yes. Ryt's 4% needs five monthly spend 'stamps' (capped at RM20k), GXBank's 4% is a 6-month Bonus Pocket (base is 2%), and Versa's 4.2% is a fixed-rate quest on fresh funds. KDI Save's 4.00% is one of the few with no strings.

Are these a good alternative to a fixed deposit?+

Yes, for cash you may need soon — they earn daily and let you withdraw anytime, unlike a fixed deposit that locks your money. FDs can pay more for committed savings, so many people keep an emergency fund here and longer-term money in FD.

Which one is best for me?+

For everyday spend and tolls that still earns, Touch 'n Go GO+. For the highest no-strings rate, KDI Save. For a PIDM-insured account with a debit card, GXBank or Ryt Bank.

Rates are indicative "up to" figures for reference only (as of 9 June 2026) and change frequently; promotional rates require meeting the provider's terms. Digital-bank deposits are PIDM-insured to RM250,000; money-market products (GO+, KDI Save, StashAway, Versa) are not guaranteed or PIDM-insured. Confirm the current rate with the provider before depositing. Rates.my is not a licensed financial adviser.
