What Can Touch 'n Go Actually Do?
It started as a toll card. In 2026 the Touch 'n Go eWallet is closer to an everything-app โ payments, savings, investing, financing, insurance and travel, all in one place. Here's what it can really do.
Pay almost anywhere
Scan DuitNow QR at any participating merchant, pay online, or send money to friends and bank accounts instantly. The same QR at a stall works whether you pay from your eWallet balance or GO+.
Tolls, parking & transit
Pay highway tolls with the RFID sticker or PayDirect (no SmartTAG card needed), tap into the MRT, LRT, monorail and buses, and settle parking at malls and city councils โ all from the app.
GO+ daily savings
Leave money in GO+ and it earns a daily return of roughly 3.0โ3.4% p.a. via the Principal e-Cash money-market fund โ and you can still spend that balance anytime.
Compare GO+ vs other rates โInvest with GOinvest
Put money into curated investment funds straight from the app, starting small. Returns aren't guaranteed, but it lets you grow cash beyond a savings rate without a separate brokerage.
Financing (GOfinance)
Eligible users can access micro-financing and pay-later options in-app for approved purchases โ a quick line of credit without visiting a bank branch.
Insurance & protection
Buy bite-sized insurance โ travel, personal accident, device or medical add-ons โ in a few taps, and manage the policies inside the same app.
Cards, reloads & passes
Top up a physical Touch 'n Go card, reload your eWallet for free via FPX, DuitNow or card, and store passes and vouchers. Reloads are free and your balance can earn in GO+.
Everyday lifestyle
Settle bills (electricity, water, broadband, phone), buy mobile prepaid, grab F&B and shopping vouchers, donate, and pay at eateries and convenience stores.
Use it overseas
Cross-border QR lets you scan and pay in markets like Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and China using your ringgit balance โ handy for travel without carrying cash.

What can I actually pay for with Touch 'n Go?+
Highway tolls, parking, public transport, in-store and online purchases via DuitNow QR, bills, mobile reloads, donations, and money transfers to friends or bank accounts. It also handles savings (GO+), investing, financing and insurance.
Can I use Touch 'n Go overseas?+
Yes โ through cross-border DuitNow QR you can scan and pay at participating merchants in countries like Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and China, paying from your ringgit balance. Coverage keeps expanding, so check the in-app list before you travel.
Is GO+ the same as a bank account?+
No. GO+ invests your balance in a money-market fund, so returns vary daily and are low-risk but not guaranteed or PIDM-insured. A licensed digital bank account (like GXBank or Ryt Bank) is PIDM-insured up to RM250,000.
Do I need to top up to pay tolls?+
You need enough eWallet (or GO+) balance for RFID/PayDirect to deduct the toll. Reloads are free via FPX, DuitNow or card, and you can set up auto-reload so you never run out at the gantry.
Features and availability change over time and some services depend on eligibility or a Malaysian account. GO+ is an investment in a money-market fund โ low risk but not guaranteed or PIDM-insured.
