The week ahead

Malaysian Finance Calendar: 14-20 September 2026

Three ACE Market debuts, a Fed rate decision and a fresh petrol price all land in one week. Thursday carries the most weight — the Fed's call, new pump prices and Pioneer Heat's listing all fall on the same day.

Monday alone carries 23 counters. The seven biggest single payouts span Monday to Thursday.
  • Own it before the ex-date. Buy on the ex-date itself and the seller — not you — keeps the payout.
  • Hengyuan goes ex Monday too. We covered its first payout since 2022 last week — this is the date that counts.
Deposit rates are anchored — most promos still have three weeks. Bank Negara held the OPR at 2.75% on 3 September and meets next on 5 November, so board rates stay flat. Hong Leong's eFD promo closes Monday 14 September, but most other cycles — CIMB, AmBank, HSBC — run to 30 September. Compare today's FD rates before they lapse.
