The week ahead
Malaysian Finance Calendar: 14-20 September 2026
Three ACE Market debuts, a Fed rate decision and a fresh petrol price all land in one week. Thursday carries the most weight — the Fed's call, new pump prices and Pioneer Heat's listing all fall on the same day.

The week at a glance
- Two debuts already have their answer. Butterfield FB closed 18.7× oversubscribed, Pioneer Heat 47.8× — both list this week.
- UNIPAC's date is still tentative. Its rescheduled 14 Sep listing follows a supplementary prospectus, not yet final.
Bursa: 48 stocks go ex-dividend this week
- Own it before the ex-date. Buy on the ex-date itself and the seller — not you — keeps the payout.
- Hengyuan goes ex Monday too. We covered its first payout since 2022 last week — this is the date that counts.
Deposit rates are anchored — most promos still have three weeks. Bank Negara held the OPR at 2.75% on 3 September and meets next on 5 November, so board rates stay flat. Hong Leong's eFD promo closes Monday 14 September, but most other cycles — CIMB, AmBank, HSBC — run to 30 September. Compare today's FD rates before they lapse.
What to watch
- Wed 16Petrol price announced for the week starting Thursday.
- Thu, 2am MYTFed's rate decision and dot plot. Markets have priced high odds of a move.
- Fri 18Malaysia's August CPI and trade data from DOSM.
