Bitcoin Back Near $65k, Solana $76 — and Robinhood Chain Is the Busiest Thing in Crypto (2026)

RaymondRates.my4 min read

Bitcoin is back near US$65,000 and Solana near US$76. The rebound is real but small — and the busiest thing in crypto right now is not a coin, it is Robinhood Chain.

The rebound is a money-flow story

One week reversed a month of drift. The buying is institutional and narrow — two funds did 94% of it, which is worth knowing before reading it as a crowd rushing back in.
  • Weak US jobs did it. July payrolls showed America lost 23,000 jobs, cooling talk of another rate rise.
  • The money moved more than the price. Bitcoin gained a few percent while nearly a billion dollars changed direction.

Both are far below their own records — Solana needs to roughly quadruple to see January 2025 again. A 4% week barely registers against that.

What Robinhood Chain actually is

Robinhood Chain, from announcement to 100 million transactions30 Jun 2025Announcedrevealed in Cannes10 Feb 2026Public testnetbuilt on Arbitrum tech1 Jul 2026Mainnet livean Ethereum layer-26 Aug 2026100m+ transactionsin five weeks
Robinhood built its own blockchain — an Ethereum layer-2 — to put real assets like shares on-chain. It went from announcement to 100 million transactions in about a year.
  • It is a road, not a coin. A network Robinhood built to move tokenised assets, using ETH to pay fees.
  • Meme coins got there first. Over 80% of early volume was memecoins, not the shares it was built for.
There is no Robinhood Chain token. No coin, no airdrop, no snapshot, no claim window — fees are paid in ETH. Anyone selling you a “Robinhood Chain token” is selling something that does not exist. The meme coins trading on it, like CASHCAT, are not issued or endorsed by Robinhood — CASHCAT’s own site calls itself “fan fiction with a ticker”.

Can Malaysians touch any of this?

Malaysia's regulated route is narrow but real — five exchanges, both major coins. · Photo: Unsplash
  • Bitcoin and Solana, yes. Both trade in ringgit on SC-registered exchanges — five are on the register.
  • Robinhood, no. It needs a US address and Social Security number, and holds no SC registration.

What to watch

  • WeeklyWhether ETF inflows hold. One good week after a −$5.4bn first half is not yet a trend.
  • OngoingWhether Robinhood Chain’s real-world assets grow faster than its meme coins. Right now they do not.
  • Your sideCheck any platform against the SC register before depositing a ringgit.
