Budget 2027 goes to Parliament on Friday, 9 October — two weeks from today. The Finance Ministry's own Pre-Budget Statement already confirms where the numbers stand. Here's what's real, and what to watch for your own money.

What should you personally watch for?

Budget Day tax and subsidy changes rarely apply to the return you're about to file — most start the following assessment year.
  • Tax-relief changes usually start the next assessment year — see the effect on your take-home pay.
  • Minimum wage already sits at RM1,700 a month nationwide since August 2025 — any Budget 2027 move would go further still.
