Not all jars are equal
Boost Bank's 4% Savings Rate Comes With a RM3,000 Ceiling
Boost Bank advertises “up to 4% p.a.” on its savings jars. Only one jar actually reaches that — and it stops growing fast. A quieter 3.3% jar, with no cap at all, ends up paying more once your balance passes a certain point.

Balance where Unlimited overtakes BoostUP
The 4% jar’s fine print
- The first month is free — no spending required until month two of the BoostUP Jar.
- Four transaction types don’t count toward the spend rule: wallet transfers, cash-ins, Payflex payments, and donations.
- Boost caps total deposits at RM200 million for BoostUP and RM350 million for Unlimited, first-come first-served.
Which jar actually pays more
- The advantage compounds with balance size — the more you hold, the bigger the gap between the two jars.
- Withdrawals lose the bonus on that amount — only ringgit that stays in the jar earns the promotional rate.
- Both jars fall back to the base rate when their campaigns end — nothing here is a permanent rate.
