The week ahead
Malaysian Finance Calendar: 21-27 September 2026
Malaysia's biggest bank pays its first interim dividend of the year this week, petrol resets Thursday, and it's a quiet week for the Fed and Bank Negara. Wednesday carries the most weight — Maybank, Heineken Malaysia and a new petrol price all fall on the same day.

The week at a glance
- Miss Wednesday's date, miss the payout. Maybank and Heineken Malaysia both go ex-dividend that day.
- Two central banks sit this one out. The Fed meets 27–28 Oct, Bank Negara 5 Nov — not this week.
Bursa: 15 stocks go ex-dividend this week
- Buy today, the seller collects. You must hold the stock before its ex-date to receive that dividend.
- Heineken tops the week's payouts. Maybank's first interim dividend follows on the same day — both ex Wednesday.
Deposit rates are anchored — most promos still have about a week. Bank Negara held the OPR at 2.75% on 3 September and meets next on 5 November, so board rates stay flat. Most current FD cycles — UOB, AmBank, HSBC, RHB and CIMB among them — run to 30 September. Compare today's FD rates before that round closes.
