Public Bank FD Promotion 2026: 3.70% for Anyone, 3.80% for Red Carpet Elite — Is the RM1 Million Tier Worth It?
Public Bank has two live fixed deposit promos running at once. The PB Special FD pays up to 3.70% p.a. to any customer with fresh funds. A Red Carpet Banking version pays up to 3.80% — but only with RM300,000 or RM1,000,000 in assets already at the bank.

- Fresh funds only — RM5,000 minimum, up to RM10 million, must land within 7 days.
- Branch counter only — no online or FPX channel on this campaign.
- PIDM-insured up to RM250,000 per depositor, same as an ordinary FD.
Is Red Carpet Banking's premium worth it?
- RCB Gold needs RM300,000 in assets for just 0.05pp more than the public rate.
- RCB Elite needs RM1,000,000 for at most 0.10pp extra, only at 12 and 15 months.
- At 3, 6 and 9 months, Gold and Elite pay exactly the same rate.

- Within 7 daysFresh funds must land within 7 calendar days of transfer, or they stop counting as fresh.
- Your maturity dateBoth auto-renew at PBB's ordinary board rate — currently 1.85% p.a. for 12 months — not the promo one.
