12 promos, one deadline

12 Malaysian FD Promotions Expire on the Same Day: 30 September

RaymondRates.my3 min read

Ten Malaysian banks are running twelve fixed deposit promotions right now. All twelve expire on the same day: 30 September 2026. After that, every one reverts to a lower board rate — unless the bank quietly rolls out a new cycle first.

Ranked by headline rate, one shared scale. Dark bars need a banking relationship you may not already have; green bars are open to any qualifying customer.
  • Five of the twelve need a Premier, Privilege, Priority or Red Carpet relationship — not open to a walk-in.
  • Six run on fresh funds only — money already sitting at that bank doesn’t qualify.
  • CIMB and AmBank reprice monthly — expect a new cycle on 1 October, not a straight renewal.

Sorted by headline rate, highest first. *CIMB TIA-i’s exact per-tenure split for the September cycle was not published at verification — 3.80% is the campaign’s stated ceiling. CIMB TIA-i is a Wakalah investment account, not a deposit: returns are indicative, not PIDM-protected. The other eleven are conventional or Islamic deposits, PIDM-protected up to RM250,000 per depositor.

What to watch

  • 30 Sep 2026All twelve promos above close. Placements made before then keep the rate for the full tenure; renewals revert to the board rate.
  • From 1 Oct 2026CIMB, AmBank and RHB have run near-monthly or rolling cycles all year — but a follow-on campaign, and its rate, is never guaranteed.
Not financial advice. This is general information based on each bank’s own campaign terms and conditions, verified 1–14 September 2026. It is not a recommendation to open any account, and Rates.my does not issue rate forecasts. Confirm current terms directly with the bank before placing — campaign rates, caps and eligibility can change or close early.
