New cycle, new tenures
CIMB eFD-i Campaign August 2026: 3.40%–3.65% p.a. Across Four Tenures — What Actually Changed From July
CIMB just opened a new eFD-i campaign for savers. Rates barely moved from the cycle that closed on 3 August — but two new tenures let you lock in for 6 or 12 months, not just 3 or 7.

What changed since July's cycle
- The 3-month and 7-month rates carry over unchanged from July — nothing moved there.
- Two brand-new tenures — 6 and 12 months — give savers a longer lock-in option.
- Only eFD and eFD-i Maturity Returns qualify — Monthly Returns and Why Wait variants sit this one out.
Who actually qualifies
- Both new and existing CIMB customers qualify — this isn't a new-money-only deal.
- You need an active CIMB Clicks account plus a linked current or savings account.
- SMEs, partnerships and public-listed companies are excluded — this campaign is for individuals only.
