The week at a glance
- Monday is the week's data day. September CPI and external trade figures land together.
- Thursday stacks two things at once. New petrol prices and eight ex-dividend stocks land the same day.
Bursa: 14 dividend lines go ex-date this week
- Own it Wednesday, not Thursday. Buy on the ex-date itself and the seller keeps the payout.
- Gas Malaysia and Kim Loong lead Thursday. Both pay 5 sen, alongside six smaller caps.
- Velesto and Bermaz Auto open the week. Velesto Energy and Bermaz Auto go ex-dividend Monday, ahead of Thursday's cluster.

*Alliance's 4.38% needs Alliance Privilege or Alliance Personal tier; Mass Market customers get 3.98%. Sorted by rate. Source: this site's own already-verified FD registry (src/lib/data.ts).
- Petrol changes Thursday, not Wednesday. New RON95, RON97 and diesel prices take effect from 12.01am Thursday, announced the night before.
- Five FD promos share one deadline. Alliance, MBSB, Maybank, AmBank and RHB campaigns all run out on 31 October.
Board rates won't move this week — the current petrol cycle does. Bank Negara held the OPR at 2.75% on 3 September and meets next on 5 November, so FD board rates stay put through this week. The current fuel cycle (unsubsidised RON95 RM4.62, RON97 RM5.10, diesel RM5.17, through 21 Oct) ends Wednesday night. Compare today's FD rates before five campaigns close together on 31 October.
