Sindora and Kulim Sell Their Entire Avangaad Stake to Director Lai Keng Onn

Avangaad Berhad’s two biggest outside shareholders, Sindora Berhad and Kulim (M) Berhad — both part of Johor Corporation’s plantation group — sold their entire combined stake on 24 September. The buyer: Lai Keng Onn, the company’s own executive director, who paid RM69.6 million for all 278.4 million shares.
Two exits, one buyer
- Sindora sold 265.5 million shares, Kulim sold 12.9 million — Avangaad’s entire outside-shareholder stake, gone in one filing.
- Lai already held 51% indirectly via Voultier Sdn Bhd — this deal adds a direct stake in his own name too.
The price gap
Avangaad operates tugboats and offshore support vessels for Malaysia’s oil and gas sector. Lai has been adding to his stake since April, per this site’s own Smart Money Malaysia tracker. Track the stock itself on the live Bursa heat list.
