Ex-dates, entitlement dates and payment: how it works

The essentials, in plain language.

23 counters have announced an ex-date in November 2026, the earliest being EMETALL (4 Nov 2026), KEINHIN (4 Nov 2026), SNS (4 Nov 2026), AMEREIT (5 Nov 2026), FOODIE (5 Nov 2026), PLENITU (5 Nov 2026), PTRANS (5 Nov 2026), NESTLE (10 Nov 2026) and more. The table on this page lists every one with its dividend type and amount per share.

The ex-dividend date is the first day a share trades without the right to the declared dividend. To receive it you must own the shares at the close of the day before the ex-date, so that you are on the register on the entitlement (record) date, which on Bursa is normally the next market day. Buying on the ex-date itself does not qualify.

Payment usually lands two to four weeks after the entitlement date. The exact payment date is in the company's Bursa entitlement announcement, and for the counters Rates.my covers it is shown with the next ex-date on the company's own stock page.

From the entitlement announcements companies file with Bursa Malaysia, synced daily (Synced 29 Oct 2026 · Bursa Malaysia announcements). Only dividends that have been announced appear: a stock that has not declared anything yet will not be listed, however regular its past payouts. Dates can be revised by the company, so confirm on Bursa or with your broker before acting.
